Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Dan the Digital Man ("DtDM", "we", "us") collects when you use home.dtdm.us and dtdm.us (the "Site"), and how it is used. Questions or requests: dan@dtdm.us.
What we collect
- Email address. When you enter your email on a free-download card, it is sent to Kit (our email service provider), which stores it and sends you the download and later emails.
- Purchase information. If you buy a paid product, checkout is handled by SamCart, with payments processed by Stripe or PayPal. They collect your name, email, billing details and payment information. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Usage and device data. Our Site uses the Meta Pixel and standard hosting logs, which collect information such as pages viewed, buttons clicked, IP address, browser and device type, and the page that referred you.
Cookies and the Meta Pixel
We use the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) to measure how our Facebook and Instagram ads perform and to show our ads to relevant audiences. The Pixel may set cookies and sends information such as page views, clicks and conversion events (for example, submitting a free-download form or starting checkout) to Meta. Meta's handling of that data is governed by Meta's own privacy policy. You can control ad personalization in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings and block cookies in your browser settings.
How we use information
- To deliver the downloads and products you request.
- To send you emails about our free resources, products and updates. Every email contains an unsubscribe link.
- To measure and improve the Site and our advertising.
- To meet legal, tax and security obligations.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site and business: Kit (email), SamCart, Stripe and PayPal (checkout and payments), Cloudflare (hosting and security), Google Fonts (font delivery, which receives your IP address when fonts load), and Meta (advertising measurement). We do not sell your email address. We may disclose information if required by law.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- Email dan@dtdm.us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Depending on where you live (for example California or the European Economic Area), you may have additional legal rights, and we will honor valid requests.
Retention and security
We keep email subscriber data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and purchase records as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes. We rely on reputable providers and reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version.
